5 Mietmotorräder von FTH und 2 Wochen Rundreise durch Rumänien im Sommer 2010:

Wir sind eine deutsche Gruppe Motorradfahrer und haben bei FTH-Motors (Gal Attila) 5 Motorräder für unsere Rundreise durch Rumänien im Sommer
2010 gemietet. Unsere Reise führte uns vom Siebenbürgenland/Transylvanien in den Karpaten über das Donaudelta und die Schwanzmeerküste zurück
nach Covasna, wo die Vermietstation von Attila liegt. Covasna liegt ca. 200 km nördlich von Bukarest und ist ein geeigneter Ausgangspunkt für eine
Motorradtour. Im Jahr 2010 gab es in Rumänien keinen Motorradvermieter, der ausreichend Motorräder hatte und zudem ein gutes Englisch gesprochen
hat und zuverlässig schien außer Attila. Die Korrespondenz im Vorfeld war vorbildlich und jegliche Zusagen wurden ausnahmslos eingehalten. Attila
bietet zudem einen kostenlosen Hol- und Bringservice von Flughafen Bukarest. Wir hatten überwiegend BMW F 650 GS gemietet. Die Motorräder hatten
alle bereits ca. 40.000 km auf dem Tacho und waren technisch in einen guten Zustand. Alle Motorräder hatten zusätzlich Koffer und je ein Topcase, so
dass wir alles Gepäck gut unterbringen konnten. Das weitere Gepäck für unsere Weiterreise nach der Tour konnten wir kostenlos bei Attila deponieren.
Während der Tour bietet Attila eine 24 Stunden-Hotline und hilft bei Problemen unverzüglich weiter. Wir hatten 2 technische Pannen während der
3.000 km Tour. Die erste Panne konnte Attila mittels Ersatzteil binnen akzeptabler Zeit vor Ort reparieren. Bei der zweiten Panne hatte uns Attila am
nächsten Morgen ein Ersatzmotorrad gebracht. Eine Vollkasko- oder Diebstahlversicherung für die Motorräder war 2010 noch nicht möglich.
Nachträglich müssen wir jedoch sagen, dass dies auch nicht erforderlich ist, wenn man Rumänien nicht verlässt. Dieses Land hat einen deutlich
schlechteren Ruf als es ist. Wir hatten niemals den Eindruck, dass es kritische Situationen bzgl. der Motorräder gegeben hat. Zudem ist das Land sehr
aufgeschlossen und alle Menschen sehr nett, so dass wir uns niemals unsicher gefühlt haben. Obwohl wir die Landessprache nicht sprachen, konnten wir
immer mit Englisch oder Deutsch oder mit  Händen und Füßen und Gesten weiterkommen. Attila als Motorrad-Vermieter können wir mit gutem Gewissen

Experience report and recommendation for FTH Motors

5 motorcycles rented by FTH for a 2 weeks round trip through Romania in summer 2010:

We are a German group of motorcylists which rented 5 bikes with FTH-Motors (Gal Attila) for a round trip through Romania in summer 2010. Our trip led
us through Transylvania (Siebenbürgenland) in the east and south Carphatian Mountains via the Danube (Donaudelta) and the Black Sea
(Schwarzmeerküste) back to Covasna, where Attila’s rental station is located. The city Covasna is approx. 200 km north of Bukaresti and is a suitable
starting point for a motorcycling tour in Romania. In 2010 there was no motorcycle rental station available, which had sufficient bikes nor satisfying
English language knowledge nor had been as reliable as Attila. The e-mail correspondence with Attila during the preparation phase of our tour was
creating a deep feeling of confidence and all agreements made by then were 100% fulfilled. Furthermore, Attila offers a pick-up service from and to
Bukaresti Airport. We rented only  BMW bikes (F650 GS and GS 1100). All bikes had already 40.000 km but were in good condition. They were all
equipped with top cases and all sorts of side bags (made of aluminum, canvas or hard plastic) which allowed us to accommodate the necessary luggage
for a two week’s trip. Any additional luggage we required for the second part our trip without the bikes could be stored at Attila’s place free of charge.
During the tour Attila offered a 24 h-Hotline and was always at hand when problems showed up. We had two technical problems with the bikes during our
3.000 km tour. The first problem could be solved by Attila within a reasonable amount of time directly after the start of our tour. When the second
problem occurred Attila showed up as fast as possible and after not being able to handle the bike’s problem he provided a new bike the very next
morning. In 2010 it was not possible to obtain a fully comprehensive or theft insurance for bikes licensed in Romania. Now that the tour is finished, we
must say, it would not have been necessary at all. The country’s reputation in Europe is much too worse – which is simply not justified. We never had the
impression, that there had been any critical situation with the bikes nor with us as human beings. People are very open minded and helpful – not for a
single moment we felt unsafe. Although we do not speak the local language, we could help ourselves with English or German and in those rare cases
where it was not possible to use any of these languages, we talked with gestures. We would like to highly recommend Attila and his perfect service and

WAS EXCELLENT VIEW BETWEEN EACH TOURIST SPOT AND I WAS RIDING WITH RELAX. THE GUIDE ASK ME THAT CAN YOU RIDE FASTER?
